Welcome to the
Loco Shed
Echuca's iconic 1864 Locomotive Engine Shed is being restored
as a living community heritage facility.
Breathing Life into Echuca's Heritage
The Loco Shed stands as a silent testament to Echuca's rich railway history. Built in 1864 to service steam locomotives on the Murray River trade routes, this magnificent bluestone and brick structure has weathered over 160 years of history.
Today, Loco Shed Echuca Inc. is working with the community to transform this heritage-listed building into a vibrant multi-purpose facility โ a place where history comes alive for future generations.
